Driving down the road? Photography Opportunity?

Ballooning Up with Strong Winds in Maui

Beautiful Road Trip
How many times have you driven down the road and saw something beautiful? I like to take Road Trips, and stop by beautiful or interesting places. I remember the times I wished I took a picture of a beautiful scenery which I saw driving down the road. I now take those opportunities and snap a quick photo. Those photos turn out to be my little jewels of memories. Life is way too short to wish you took an opportunity that you had in life. If you feel like opportunity is knocking on your door, don’t be afraid to see what’s behind the door, at least look through the peep hole. You might find something new and exciting. How many times a day do you laugh with people that you love?

Find time to laugh with friends and family often
How many times a day do you laugh with people that you love? It’s funny to think that most people don’t laugh with the ones they love the most. We get stuck with the day-by-day rituals and seeing each other becomes a normal habitual pattern. How often do you emotionally fill the needs of friends and family? Do you daily say, “I love you”? Do you tell those folks that you care about them? Do you verbally say how much you appreciate them?
Don’t take it for granted that people know you love them. It’s comforting to the heart and soul to hear those words. Pay attention next time you find yourself laughing with loved ones, and just enjoy the moment. Express the positive words that come to your mind and don’t hold back. Laugh more, Love more!

Stress Less – Make time for family and friends

Have fun with family and friends often_Hajii Otto

Find reasons to celebrate life daily with friends and family

Share more happy moments with your friends and family
How often do you try to spend quality time with friends and family throughout the year? I know, we all get mega busy with our schedules and forget to reconnect with people that we love. Find time to gather as friends and family by doing simple events. It doesn’t have to be expensive. My mother always tried to take us to the beach or fishing. She would invite the rest of the family and friends. If they could make it, then we would have an instant fun social gathering. I learned if you give people an opportunity to socially gather, then you find more opportunities to connect even with busy schedules.
Call up folks you care about and chat for a bit. Have a quick luncheon with old friends. Go fishing with your kids without worrying about catching anything. Bake cupcakes with your loved ones. Have a cookout just to have one. Remember, texting is not connecting because talking is more soothing to the heart.
Have a great day! Celebrate life daily with friends and family.

It’s ok to act silly with family and friends
My Ohana family is wonderful. I love how everyone is free to be silly and goofy. We seem to always come up with ways to start playing, dancing, laughing, eating, etc. Our jokes are stupid, but who cares, we laugh anyway. One good chuckle leads to a series of non-stop laughter in the house. All the walls go down when we’re in that hyper zone of fun.
Chill Out Tip: Be willing to act silly and goofy in life. Smile often!

New ideas come when you calm the mind

Calming the mind and body can trigger new ideas
I get a big rush speaking on stage, and I love performing in front of an active audience. You can feel the surge of excitement when you know you’re touching the hearts and minds of people just by watching their eyes and smiles. The more they get excited, the more I get excited. Therefore, I try to refuel my energy by doing ritual visualization and relaxation techniques. However, today was one of those crazy motivating moments of EXCITEMENT during my “Self Quality Time. ” I was trying to solve a problem to a particular workshop program, and I was zapped with so many ideas. I had to finally get up and write down all those concepts. You got’ta love it when you finally silence the mind and the heart hears the message. I was super hyped-up with excitement, and I was able to complete my workshop project.
Chill Out Tip: Refuel your energy often, and you’ll be able to perform at a higher level.
I hope you’re having a great NEW YEAR 2011…

Cornell University and Stress Management – Hajii Otto
Back in action…. Cornell University and Stress Management
This year has been crazy with my spring Speaking Tour 2010, and I’ve been loving all the excitement. It’s been a major challenge to keep up with all my blogging especially with traveling and speaking. However, I’ve decided to recommit myself to at least writing something once a week. I’ll be honest, sometimes the last thing I want to do is get back on the computer after speaking, researching, or writing the entire day. It’s actually going to be great for my mind and creative thoughts to get back into blogging. It will be a chance for me to get my thoughts together and express myself with an external outlet like the web. I forgot how fun it is to blog. Ok, now that I’m back in the right frame of mind, let’s get rocking with blogging again. I’m all charged up, and I feel the need to write…..
One of my favorite speaking experiences this year was talking to Cornell University students about stress management and enjoying their college experiences. The students were fantastic, because they showered me with so much love and attention. I had students like Chris M, Nora A, Rustin R, Emily C, and Matt G. help me out throughout my entire stay. Chris M.and Nora A. made sure I was taken care of from start to finish. They went out of their way to make sure I had a wonderful time at Cornell University. They picked me up from the airport and showed me the campus including some special sites. I was able to talk with students and see what made them stressed out in their college experiences before my performance showcase. It was good to see their point-of-view especially as students at an Ivy League school. They gave me some great insights of contemporary college stress issues.
The showcase was a grand success and the audience was AWESOME! They had so much energy which motivated me to perform even better on stage. We were all hyped up with excitement. They were so open to my message and willing to be highly active with my performance. It was great to hear them laugh and watch them smile throughout my speech. At the end, students told me they loved all the excitement and learned so many great stress tips. I had a wonderful experience at Cornell University! PS, Kara, thank you for everything, too. I appreciate all the kindness from everyone! See y’all again soon in the fall.
